The Bellevue Voice #7: Final middle housing vote is tonight, make your…

Tonight, Tuesday, June 24th, the Bellevue City Council will take its final vote on the middle housing ordinance.

This decision will determine how much additional density will be allowed in single family neighborhoods, and whether the city goes beyond what is required under state law.

If you want to weigh in, you can still sign up to speak at the meeting. Public comment makes a real difference. Visit the city’s website to sign up in advance or plan to attend in person and register before the meeting begins.

You can also email the Council directly at council@bellevuewa.gov and urge them to adopt a version of the ordinance that complies with state law, but reflects real neighborhood input by not going further than that.

Let’s make sure this final decision reflects the voices of Bellevue residents.
